College students should only be hungry for knowledge.

UB Campus Pantry A Project of Campus Life

Did you know that food insecurity is becoming a prominent issue on college campuses across the nation1?

One in two college students living independently, off-campus lives in poverty2. That's 50%! It's a national issues and one that affects numerous UB students. Many have limited resources and face the realities of food insecurity and homelessness, which impacts their chances for college success. That's a lot to handle for individuals who are working hard to improve their circumstances.

The University of Baltimore's Campus Pantry eases the burden of food hardship by connecting students, faculty, and staff who are experiencing hunger to food and resources. It was created to alleviate food hardship for the entire UB community by providing those in need with supplemental food and basic necessities. For students, this means they can focus on their academic, personal, and professional goals.

You can help. Donations are crucial to sustaining the Campus Pantry's work, and every donation makes a big difference! Your donation of:

Since opening in October 2016, the Campus Pantry:

  • has served 122 individuals
  • had 249 visits
  • averaged 20 visits per week during the spring 2017 semester
  • distributed 1,626 lbs. of food

The need is real, and you can help. Through your gift, you will provide nutritious food to students in need and help them stay focused on their goal of earning a UB degree. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
