The only thing college students should be hungry for is knowledge.

UB Campus Pantry A Project of Campus Life

Help us alleviate food insecurity at UB.

The University of Baltimore is committed to serving students who are currently experiencing food insecurity. We want to help connect students who are experiencing hunger to resources and food through the new UB Campus Pantry. The Campus Pantry was created to alleviate food hardship issues for students by providing nutritious, supplemental food and basic necessities, which, in turn, allows our students to focus on their academic, personal, and professional endeavors.

Hunger is an increasingly important issue on college campuses across the nation. According to information from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, approximately 80% of college students work at least a part-time job. Still, data show* that a student living independently off-campus has an approximately 50% chance of living in poverty. These students are experiencing limited resources, housing insecurity, and food insecurity. Some students experience homelessness and hunger, the extreme end of poverty. These challenges, which some UB students know too well, can directly impact a student's ability to learn, study, and ultimately, graduate.

Your generous, tax-deductible donation for the UB Campus Pantry will help us ensure that students in need will have access to healthy, nutritious food. Our goal is to raise $5,000 through this initial campaign. 100% of your generous contribution for the UB Campus Pantry will help us ensure that students in need will have access to healthy, nutritious food.
